We had a very special visit recently!
The incredibly talented Romani artist, Delaine Le Bas, delivered an inspiring art workshop for us in the centre in collaboration with @glasgowtramway (special thanks to Alexander from their team for making it happen!)
Our staff and young people had an amazing time unleashing their creativity, producing some fantastic work.
. During her visit, Delaine was given a wee tour of the centre by Sonia, who showed her some of the archive and her families rich history of music and dance.
Before Delaine left, Aliana gifted her a special book from our recent folktales project with Annette Street Primary. The book features folktales shared by the children from their own families, along with illustrations by Aliana herself—what a beautiful moment to share art between artists!
Delaine has just wrapped up a summer exhibition at the Tramway and has been recently been nominated for the Turner Prize—huge congratulations and best of luck, Delaine!
